Reaper Twins: Chapter 21

Bella walked around the town with Klaus. Kol and Henrik had gone to Seattle to pass the time. Rebekah and Marco had opted to stay home alone together.

“So how long have you known my sister and your brother have been together,” Klaus asked as they walked down the streets together.

Bella paused, and looked up at Klaus, “You knew?”

Klaus chuckled and smiled down at Bella, “I’ve known for a while, longer than you I assume.”

“How did you figure it out before me?” Bella exclaimed upset she seemed to be the last to know.

“Rebekah isn’t the greatest at sneaking back into the house, and not to mention that Rebekah can be a horrible liar. I asked her about it after I saw them together, I was out for a hunt after we had gone out. They were in a very compromising position in your brother’s vehicle. She denied it and said I was just making things up, but Rebekah always has a way to tell when she lies, so I knew they were together.” Klaus said.

“And why didn’t you say anything,” Bella asked confused Klaus had a reputation for scaring away all of Rebekah’s lovers.

“I think it’s entertaining watching them sneak around, their getting pretty good at it,” Klaus replied with a smirk.

“Wait, how did you know I knew?” Bella asked.

“That was quite simple love, you keep getting me out of the house, and away from the two of them more,” Klaus said he wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him, “And every time we do go out, Rebekah knows about it almost instantly, I would assume you had something to do with that.”

Bella smiled, “You’re not mad I kept that from you?”

“Of course not, it’d be a bit hypocritical if I was angry seeing as how I’ve been keeping this from you,” Klaus said.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Bella asked out of curiosity.

“If anyone was supposed to tell you, it wasn’t me, it was supposed to be your brother,” Klaus responded knowing it was never his place to tell her about the relationship her brother held with Rebekah.

Bella nodded, “Your right, so any plans on telling them?”

“No, I think I’ll wait until Rebekah tells me herself,” Klaus said with a smirk, “Kol has also figured it out also, and I’m sure Henrik is close to noticing.”

“Please tell me I knew about this before Kol,” Bella said looking up at Klaus, pleadingly hoping she had known before Kol.

Klaus chuckled, “He knew a week before you did suspect, he caught Rebekah and your brother together.”

Bella groaned, she was the last to know well all except Henrik. “How did you manage to get Kol to keep quiet?” Bella asked knowing Kol wasn’t the best to keep secrets, especially if he could use to taunt someone.

“I didn’t have to do anything to get Kol to keep quiet. Kol thought it was entertaining to watch them sneak around as well,” Klaus responded, with a small laugh. Klaus looked around the small town and kissed Bella. “It’s quite hard to believe you grew up in this town.”

Bella nodded with a fond smile remembering this small hole in the wall of a town. “Can we go somewhere later?”

“We can go anywhere you want love,” Klaus responded knowing this would most likely be the last time Bella ever came to this town.

Bella smiled, she enjoyed being able to be with Klaus in Forks, that was until she heard the voice that annoyed her to no end, “Oh God, maybe if we start walking away she’ll leave.”

Klaus chuckled at Bella and whispered in her ear, “Now, she can’t be that bad, love.”

“OHMYGOD! Bella! Bella!” Jessica yelled she began running up to Bella. Bella put on a fake smile and waved at Jessica as she ran up to them, she noticed Angela and Mike not that far behind her. “Hey Bella! I knew it was you! Mike and Ang wouldn’t believe them, but I told them you were back in town again. It’s so good to see you again! Where have you been? Did you flunk out? OHMYGOD! You did didn’t you, you were in such a horrible state when Edward left, you must’ve packed up and dropped out. That is so sad to hear Bella.”

Bella took in a deep breath, “No, I didn’t flunk out, I moved. I graduated about a week ago.”

“Oh you did?” Jessica said fully surprised, “Well, that’s cool, where’d you go?”

“Virginia, Charlie got a new job,” Bella responded wanting nothing more than for this moment to end, so she could get on with her day.

“Oh that’s totally awesome,” Jessica said, she looked at Klaus. She flipped her hair and batted her eyelashes at him before she decided to introduce herself, “Hi, I’m Jessica, an old friend of Bella’s and currently single.”

Klaus nodded, “I’m Klaus, Isabella’s boyfriend.”

Bella almost laughed at Jessica’s face, she saw Klaus smile slightly at the expression Jessica was making.

“Hey Bella,” Angela said coming up to them, Bella was grateful Angela was here, she always had a way to shutting Jessica up.

“Hey Bella, you look great,” Mike said eyeing Bella from head to toe.

Jessica scoffed at Mike and rolled her eyes at him, “Give it up Mike, Bella’s got a hot English boyfriend.”

“Hello, I’m Angela,” Angela said as she smiled politely at Klaus.

Klaus retuned to the sentiment and introduced himself. Mike looked Klaus up and down and let out a large dramatic sigh, “I’m going to get to work, it was good seeing you again Bella. Nice to meet you Klaus.”

“Ugh!” Jessica groaned, she stormed off leaving just Angela.

“Don’t take their behaviors offensively, Mike broke up with Jessica, in hopes of getting together with you after Edward left, and well Jess never really got over it,” Angela explained, they heard Jessica groan and Angela looked over their shoulders at Jessica, “I should go talk to her, we should hang out sometime Bella. Call me to talk, I would really like to hear what you’ve been up to.”

“Sure thing Angela, I’ll call you later,” Bella replied with a smile.

“Well, it was nice to see you again Bella, and it was nice to meet you Klaus,” Angela said as she hurried after Jessica.

“It’s just not fair Ang! She gets Edward, who was good looking and the perfect high school boyfriend, and now this guy who’s like a god, and I can’t even get Mike to stay with me!” Jessica complained loud enough that Bella and Klaus were able to hear.

“I like her,” Klaus chuckled as they continued to walk through the town.

Bella laughed, “You only like her because she compared you to a god.”

Bella later led Klaus to the spot in which Edward left her. She wanted to see it again, remind herself that she was stronger now, she wasn’t the weak human he had left there.

“Why exactly are we here?” Klaus asked as Bella stopped walking, he looked around not noticing anything that would make this location special.

Bella went and stood where Edward left her, “This spot right here, is where I was standing when the jerk left me.”

Klaus couldn’t help the automatic growl that escaped at the mention of Bella’s ex, “So why are we here love?”

“Memories, I guess,” Bella said looking around not moving from the spot she was in, “I used to visit this spot after I got better, and it sort of helped. It used to remind me of how much of a jerk Edward was, and why I hated being with him.”

Klaus walked behind Bella and wrapped his arms around her, he knew he didn’t have to say anything to Bella, he just needed to be there to remind her he wasn’t going to disappear.

Bella stepped out of Klaus’s arms and turned around and smiled at him, she took his hand blurred away with him. She stopped when she reached the old boulder she was sitting on when she became a reaper.

“And what significance does this place have,” Klaus asked looking around.

Bella smiled, she hopped up on the boulder and smiled, “This is where I became a reaper, I was sitting on this boulder when Marco put his palm on my forehead, and I was no longer human. That day is implanted on my mind forever. I didn’t believe him, I thought he was crazy so I let him do it, thinking it wouldn’t work.” Klaus stood in front of Bella he put his hands on her waist and kissed her.

“Come on, I want to take you somewhere,” Klaus said.

Bella looked at him confused, “Where?”

Klaus smirked, “Now that love, is a surprise.” Klaus picked Bella up and ran off with her. Bella wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head against his shoulder. Bella decided to try and distract Klaus and began to kiss his neck. She felt him shiver against her, she smiled and continued what she was doing.

Klaus stopped, “Now love, as much as I enjoy what you’re doing, if you continue to distract me, we won’t make it to where I plan on taking you.”

Bella smirked, “Are you completely set on going to this place?” Klaus kissed Bella heatedly, he pushed her against a tree, and moved her so her legs were now wrapped around his waist. Bella pulled back and grinned, “Now who’s being distracting?”

“As I believe, you were the one who started it,” Klaus replied with a smirk, he kissed Bella again, and positioned her back in his arms as she was before and began to run again.

He finally stopped when he reached the peak of a mountain, he set her down and took her to the edge. Klaus sat down and pulled her to his lap. Bella cuddled up against him.

“I’ve never been here,” Bella said taking in the view around her, “I didn’t even know this place was here.”

“That’s because it’s so high up, it gets too cold for most humans to be up here,” Klaus responded.

“It’s beautiful,” Bella said with a smile.

Klaus smiled, he pulled out the ring from his pocket and placed it in Bella’s hand. Bella looked at him before she looked at what was in her hand. “What’s this?” Bella asked looking at the large ring that was in her hand. It was large and it had a Lapis Lazuli in the middle, it was engraved on the outside, Niklaus Mikaelson.

“This is the ring my mother gave me to walk in the sun,” Klaus said as he looked down at the old ring, “The curse that was put on me made me need to wear this ring, but now being a hybrid, I don’t really need it anymore. I had continued to wear it because it was something everyone in the family had. I plan on getting Henrik one just like it, but I wanted to give you mine. I wanted you to have something that meant a lot to me, something that would remind you that I love you.”

Bella smiled, “You didn’t have to get me something for me to know that you loved me, that’s imprinted on my mind.”

Klaus smiled and placed it on Bella’s finger, he smiled wider as he saw it was a perfect fit, “I had it re-sized for you, I wanted it to be a perfect fit.”

Bella grinned, “Thank you, I love it. I love you.” Bella kissed Klaus and relaxed into him, they would have to get back to the house soon, just to finish up tomorrow’s plan of faking Bella and Marco’s death, but this moment was saved for the both of them, they wouldn’t be moving from this spot anytime soon

“NO! We can blow up your car, not my truck!” Bella yelled at her brother, she was beyond angry at the aspect that he would have her truck blown up. This was a gift from Charlie and held a lot of good and bad memories for her.

“No way in hell! Your truck is old and it’s going to fall apart any second, there’s no way we’re blowing up my car for your truck! Besides, this truck is just screaming blow me up!” Marco yelled back, he wasn’t backing down from this.

“Your face is screaming stab me, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stab you! No matter how tempting it seems,” Bella yelled getting tempted to hit her brother.

“They’re still at this?” Rebekah asked as she came up to Henrik and handed him his drink she had gone off to buy for him.

Henrik nodded taking a sip of his soda, “Haven’t stopped since you left, but they did momentarily start fighting over who got to blow the car up, but then they went back to what car they would be blowing up.”

“Fine!” Bella growled throwing her hands in the air in defeat, “We can blow up the truck, but I’m going to be the one to do it.”

Marco sighed thankful this argument was over, “Fine, you have a deal.”

“Finally! I thought you two were going to ague forever. Now we should get this over with,” Rebekah said walking up to the twins.

Henrik shuddered as he thought about Bella and Marco’s impending deaths, “Attending your funeral is going to be one of the weirdest things I’ve ever had to do as of yet.”

Bella smiled at Henrik, “It’ll be fine, I’ll have my phone on me, so you can just be talking to me throughout the funeral.”

“Come on Izzy, let’s go die,” Marco said in a cheery tone.

Bella laughed, “We’re too calm for this to be normal.”

“It’s because you’re not normal,” Henrik said as he walked and sat on the hood of Marco’s car.

“The boy has a point,” Rebekah called out, “So what am I supposed to do again.”

“Just run into the car, it’ll create a dent,” Bella said pointing to the side of the car, “It’ll look like a hit and run that caused gas to leak out, then the car simultaneously caught on fire.”

“Why can’t you run into the car again?” Rebekah asked.

“Because, we’re going to be inside, and we’re going to create dents in the steering wheel and in the dashboard where we hit our heads, then we’re going to make it look like our bodies were burned to a crisp by the fire. The only real indicator it was us in the car will be the dents and a bit of blood, and maybe a hair or two,” Bella said.

“Try to make it as realistic as possible,” Marco said with a smile towards Rebekah. They had yet to tell Klaus or anyone other than Bella about their relationship, they just didn’t know how they would react. Rebekah’s love life was always a touchy subject, all her boyfriends died, and not to mention Klaus didn’t like his sister to date or so she still believed. In reality Klaus had no problem with Rebekah dating Marco, he saw him as the perfect suitor for her.

“I’ll do my best to kill you both,” Rebekah replied with a smile.

Henrik watched as Bella and Marco got into the car. They drove off and Rebekah followed after them on foot. He heard the sound of the crash and the sound of another crash. He waited on the hood of the car for minutes before he saw the three coming back together. Marco got into Rebekah’s car, while Bella got into Marco’s with Henrik.

“Elle?” Henrik spoke, his face was grim, and Bella had a feeling this was something serious. She slowed her driving to hear what he had to say.

“What’s on your mind Henri,” Bella asked as she looked at him, she didn’t like this look on him.

“Some weird things have been happening, since Mystic Falls, and I know what’s happening to me, but I don’t want you to hate me,” Henrik said.

Bella pulled the car over to the side of the road so she could give Henrik her full attention, “I hate a lot of people, but there’s nothing you could do to make me hate you.”

“Yes there is,” Henrik said with a shake of his head, “Esther had magic, her magic got handed down to her children. I have magic, I’m a warlock. You’re going to hate me, you hate witches and magic.”

“I’ll admit to disliking witches, but I’m working on it. I hate magic because it took someone from my family away from me. You’re like a little brother to me Henri, I won’t hate you because you have magic or because you choose to practice magic. No matter what you’re always going to be family to me Henri.” Bella said.

Henrik nodded and let out a sigh, “I was beginning to worry you’d hate me.”

Bella laughed, “I couldn’t hate you even if I tried.” Bella began to drive again, “If you start doing magic, we can pull bigger pranks on Kol.”

Henrik grinned, seeing Bella wasn’t upset about his magic “I like the way you think Elle.”

Rebekah hung up the phone, “It’s official, I just got the call from Charlie, he’s coming down tonight with Liz and Caroline, Jeremy is also coming down to pay his respects. I told him we were in Seattle and would meet him at his home tomorrow morning. I offered my services in helping arranging the funeral seeing as I was close friends with the both of you. He told me he wanted to have the funeral as soon as possible.”

Bella felt a remark on the tip of her tongue about Rebekah being close friends with the both of them, but bit her tongue to keep her mouth shut. “Are you going to be okay helping to plan our funerals?”

Rebekah nodded, “I’ve planned funerals before, nothing I can’t handle.”

“Alright,” Bella said with a nod.

Klaus came in with Kol, they had just returned from the police department, they had snuck away to see what the results on the bodies were.

“They found the blood the hair, and came to the conclusion that it was in fact the both of you in the car,” Klaus said he walked and put his arm around Bella, “They’re cleaning up the road as we speak.”

“You caused a bit of a road block,” Kol said with a smirk, “We heard it was quite horrific.”

Bella and Marco shrugged, “It didn’t seem so bad to us. We thought it looked alright. Maybe running into that tree and crushing the front was a little too drastic.” Marco said.

“No, it was realistic, besides, I was behind the wheel and Charlie always thought I was horrible at driving, it shouldn’t be too much of a stress to believe it was me and that I ran us into a tree after we got crashed into,” Bella said with a shrug, “I do wonder though if we’ll have coffins, seeing as they don’t have any real bodies to put in the coffins.”

“Yes you’ll have coffins, it’s sort of like metaphorically putting your soul to rest, it’s very common,” Rebekah stated. Everyone excluding Klaus, turned to face her all of them with the same expressions on their face.

“How exactly do you know all of this about funerals,” Kol asked his sister not understand how she knew so much about this sort of thing.

Rebekah looked to Klaus and then to everyone, “We used to be close to someone, his name was Marcel, he died at Mikael’s hand years ago. We mourned his death.” Klaus nodded, he had already shared this story with Bella and thought his sister had also shared the same story with Marco.

“I’m going to sleep,” Henrik announced, “I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a long day.” Henrik said goodnight to everyone and headed up the stairs to his room to get some sleep. Kol followed soon after to his room, and then Bella decided to leave Marco and Rebekah alone and took Klaus to their room.

Klaus chuckled, “I was hoping to see how long it would take for them to just up and leave.”

“I realized, but doesn’t being locked away in our room together, just sound so much better,” Bella said with a grin as she opened the door to their room. She closed the door and Klaus had her backed up against it with his lips on hers.

“It sounds a lot better love,” Klaus said with a grin as he returned to kissing her.
